Here are some actions by TwoADay.org and others in the week of Monday January 6:
ON TUESDAY JANUARY 7, please join our protest against the destruction of Gaza at 11am-12noon on the India Point Park bridge over I-195 — “Money for bridges, not genocide!” We’ll also be doing other bridge protests the same day (Tuesday): 7:30-8:30am on the Cranston I-95 bridge at 1 Laurens St, and 9am-10am on the South Providence I-195 bridge on southern Broad St. The Dem and Repub parties both aid the slaughter — we can’t go back to silence or things will continue to get worse. While war fanatics try to monopolize the public’s attention, many of us sense there’s a better alternative. It is 15 months exactly since this vicious intensification of the fighting in Israel/Palestine began, and protests for a humane alternative are needed more than ever. If you want peace and no war crimes, you’re not alone — please share our poster and come!
TwoADay.org bridge actions in Cranston overlooking I-95 (overpass at 1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave, just south of Park Ave): Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-8:30am. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.
TwoADay.org street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Wed, Thu & Fri 9:15-10:15am. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.
TwoADay.org street actions at the corner of Roosevelt & Main St, Pawtucket: Mon 3:30-4:30pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.
In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire, Friday 3-4pm on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).
On Saturday 11am-12noon, East Bay Citizens for Peace is holding a vigil in Bristol on Hope St in front of the Bristol Post Office (“Ceasefires everywhere! No $ for war crimes!”)
