Here are some actions by the TwoADay Group and others in the week of Monday September 16:
TwoADay Group overpass actions in Cranston overlooking I-95 (overpass at 1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave, just south of Park Ave): Tuesday & Thursday 7:30am to 8:30am. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.
TwoADay Group street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Mon, Wed and Thu 2-3pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help. (The Wednesday protest overlaps with NEWEM’s vigil across the street — details on that are below.)
RI Antiwar Coalition vigil at the mall side of the State House: Tuesdays and Fridays 4pm to 5pm. (TwoADay Group members will be joining.)
No Endless War or Excessive Militarism (NEWEM) will be holding a vigil targeting RI’s senators and congressmen (“Renew the ceasefire! Engage in peace work, not warmongering!”) Wednesday 9/18, 1-2:30, in Providence at the edge of Kennedy Plaza, across from Sen. Reed’s office (overlapping with the TwoADay protest
In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire, Tuesday 4-5pm on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).
A rally at the State House lawn in Providence, Saturday 12-2pm is commemorating the UN International Day of Peace (September 21), sponsored by the RI Anti-War Committee and co-sponsored by TwoADay and others. “End to wars and aggression across the globe – End to US/Israel genocide and ethnic cleansing – End to US/NATO proxy war in Ukraine – Arms embargo on Israel – End to US militarism & weapons exports – End to nuclear weapons of all nations.”
