Here are some actions by the TwoADay Group and others in the week of Monday June 3:
TwoADay Group overpass actions in Cranston overlooking I-95 (overpass at 1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave, just south of Park Ave): Tuesday and Thursday 7:30am to 8:30am. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.
TwoADay Group street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Mon, Wed and Thu 4:30-5:30pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.
RI Antiwar Coalition vigil at the mall side of the State House: Tuesdays and Fridays 4pm to 5pm. (TwoADay Group members will be joining.)
No Endless War or Excessive Militarism (NEWEM) will be holding a vigil targeting RI’s senators and congressmen (“Renew the ceasefire! Engage in peace work, not warmongering!”) Wednesday 6/5, 4:30-6, in Pawtucket at 1070 North Main St (outside Rep. Amo’s office). Also Saturday 6/8, 4-5:30, in Coventry at intersection of Center of New England Blvd and New London Turnpike (by Exit 21 on Interstate 95) – gather by entrance to Walmart/Home Depot.
East Bay Citizens for Peace is holding a vigil Saturday 6/8, 11am-12noon in Bristol on Hope St in front of the Bristol Post Office (“Ceasefires everywhere! No US tax dollars for war crimes! Humanitarian aid and diplomacy – not war! Tax for Healthcare – Not Warfare!”).
In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire Saturday 12noon on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).
