Here are some actions by TwoADay.org and others in the week of Monday August 4:
PROTEST REED & MAGAZINER: At 5:30pm Tuesday at Johnston High School on 345 Cherry Hill Road in Johnston, there will be a town hall meeting with Rep. Magaziner and Sen. Reed. Some of us will be protesting outside. The town hall itself begins at 6pm.
TwoADay.org bridge actions in Cranston overlooking I-95 (overpass at 1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave, just south of Park Ave): Fri 12:15-12:45pm. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.
TwoADay.org street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Mon 7:15-8:15pm, Tue&Wed&Fri 10:30-11:30am, Thu 1:45-2:45pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.
TwoADay.org petitioning at the Armory Park Farmers’ Market in Providence (the park next to Cranston St Armory, on the Parade St side): Thu 6-7pm. We’ll be asking people to sign petitions targeting Rhode Island’s members of Congress.
In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire, Thursday 4-5pm on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).
On Saturday 11am-12noon, East Bay Citizens for Peace is holding a vigil in Bristol on Hope St in front of the Bristol Post Office (“We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest! No $ for War Crimes!”)
