Actions Mon 6/16-Friday 6/20/2025 (van to NY protest)

Here are some actions by TwoADay.org and others in the week of Monday June 16:

On Friday, some Rhode Islanders are publicly fasting outside the American UN mission office in New York (there’s a van leaving RI in the early morning Fri), joining Veterans for Peace’s fast to call for (1) full humanitarian aid to Gaza under UN authority and (2) No more US weapons to Israel. TwoADay.org bridge actions in Cranston overlooking I-95 (overpass at 1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave, just south of Park Ave): Tue 12-12:30pm. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.

TwoADay.org street actions in Cranston by Chapel Hill Mall (corner of New London Ave & Sockanosset Cross Road): Tue 1:15-2:15pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.

TwoADay.org street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Mon&Thu 5-6pm, Wed 1:15-2:15pm. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers on how people can take concrete steps to help.

In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire, Tuesday 4-5pm on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).

Also, on Wednesday at 6pm, there’s a talk on “Sudan: A History of Popular Revolutions Overturned by Militarism and Politicized Islam” by anthropologist Carolyn Fluehr-Lobban. In Bristol at the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope St. Sponsored by East Bay Citizens for Peace and cosponsored by Providence FCNL Advocacy Team, RI Anti-War Committee and TwoADay.org.
