Here are some actions by the TwoADay Group and others in the week of Tuesday January 16:
TwoADay Group overpass actions at the Cranston I-95 overpass (1 Laurens St between Doric Ave and Wellington Ave): Tue 7:15am to 8:30am, Thu 7:15am to 8:30am. We’ll be holding signs and banners for drivers to see.
TwoADay Group street actions at the Federal Courthouse building opposite Kennedy Plaza (1 Exchange Terrace, Providence): Wed and Thu, 3:15pm to dark. We’ll be holding signs and passing out flyers encouraging people to take action. RI Antiwar Committee vigil at the mall side of the State House: Tuesdays and Fridays 3pm to 4pm. (TwoADay Group members will be joining.)
In North Kingstown, a group in the broad TwoADay network will be holding banners for a full ceasefire Wed 2:30-3:30 in North Kingstown on Route 1A (overpass over Route 138 before entrance to Jamestown bridge).
No Endless War or Excessive Militarism (NEWEM) will be holding a vigil targeting RI’s senators and congressmen (“Renew the ceasefire! Engage in peace work, not warmongering!”) Wednesday 1/17, 12noon-1:30, at the edge of Kennedy Plaza on Exchange Terrace, Providence, across from Sen. Reed’s office in the Federal Courthouse Building. Also Saturday 1/20, 12noon-1:30, in Pawtucket at the corner of Broadway and Central Ave.
